Apple to Start Free Repair Program for MacBook Air Main Logic Boards

Apple is reportedly planning to kick off a repair program for the MacBook Air after it discovered an issue with the main logic board on what it describes as a “very small number” of units.

While Cupertino has remained tight-lipped on this repair program, internal documents that the company shared with Apple Store staff (via 9to5mac) indicate that Apple came across an issue potentially causing power problems.

No specifics are provided on these power errors, but Apple wants to kick off the repair program and perform the servicing at no cost. The main logic board will be replaced on all faulty models, the documents indicate.
