Apple Trying to Take Over Intel’s Modem Business

Even if Apple reached a settlement with Qualcomm and decided to use its modems on future iPhone models, it doesn’t necessarily mean the Cupertino tech-based giant is pleased with the outcome of its long-time dispute with the San Diego company.

As a result, in an attempt to reduce reliance on third-party suppliers, Apple is out shopping once again, and this time the target is none other than Intel’s modem business.

According to a report from The Information, Apple wants to buy a part of the Intel smartphone modem division, and that part is none other than the German team which reportedly plays the most important role in the development of new tech.
