Apple's 2018 iPhones Could Ship with an 18W USB-C Wall Charger for Fast Charging
Faster charging capabilities might be one of the highlights of the next iPhone models that Apple will unveil this fall, according to sources directly within the production lines.
According to an exclusive report published by ChargerLab, which obtained information directly from sources within the supply chain, Apple’s 2018 iPhone models will include a more powerful 18W USB-C wall charger for faster charging capabilities, which could also come with the next-generation iPad models.
ChargerLab even managed to create renders of the 18W USB-C charger for European markets, as you can see in the image gallery attached below, showing the USB-C Lightning input instead of the classic USB-A port that was used in previous chargers. In comparison, the iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus come with a 5W charger.
