Full screen iphone may not launch earlier than 2024We’ve known for a while that Apple was working on bringing back Touch ID to the iPhone, but now it looks like we really shouldn’t hold our breaths for the whole thing to happen.

Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has recently revealed on Twitter that the return of Touch ID on the iPhone is unlikely to take place earlier than 2024

The Cupertino-based tech giant wants to integrate a fingerprint sensor into the screen of the iPhone just like Samsung has already done on some models, like the Galaxy S22. The fingerprint sensor embedded under the glass, however, is something that Apple wants to get right from the first attempt, and at first glance, the company doesn’t seem to be in a rush to make it happen.

Once this happens, the iPhone can really become all-screen, and Kuo says this is expected to happen in 2024 when the iPhone 16 launches.
