How Apple Wanted (But Failed) to Boost Battery Life of Its New MacBook

​Early reviews of the new Apple MacBook’s battery life have been mostly negative, with the majority of people claiming that the new generation offers battery performance that is substantially lower than the one of its predecessor despite Apple’s promises.

And according to a report from Bloomberg, there is a very good reason why this is happening. It appears that Apple planned to equip the new MacBook with a completely new battery technology, but due to issues experienced during the testing stage, the company decided to give up on it at the very last minute.
