Instagram for iOS Updated with Ability to Let Users Follow Hashtags They Like

Instagram has launched on Wednesday an update to its iOS app for iPhone and Apple Watch devices that brings the ability to follow hashtags you like.

Version 27.0 of Instagram for iOS is now live in the App Store for iPhone users, and it introduces a new functionality that lets you follow any hashtag you like, such as #photography or #nature. To follow a hashtag, simply click on the one you like and you’ll immediately see a new screen where you can follow the respective hashtag.

After that, your Instagram feed will start showing you top posts that include that specific hashtag you followed. The feature will also show you some of the latest stories that use a certain hashtag, in the Stories section on top of your friends feed. At the moment, it displays a total of nine stories for a single hashtag you follow.
