iPhone 12 Demand Reaches New Records, Device Sold Out at Carrier in 45 Minutes

Apple is kicking off the pre-order program for two of its four iPhone models on Friday, but on the other hand, some carriers across the world have already started the program on Thursday.

More specifically, Taiwanese telecom operators, including Chunghwa Telecom (CHT), Far EasTone Telecommunications (FET) and Taiwan Mobile started receiving pre-orders a few hours ago, and according to a report from Digitimes, all iPhones were sold out in just 45 minutes.

iPhone 12 pre-orders kicking off on Friday

Apple announced four different iPhone models this week, out of which two will go up on pre-order on Friday. iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro, the two devices that come with a 6.1-inch screen, will be available starting this Friday at Apple.com and authorized retailers, while the shipping to the first customers is projected to begin a week later.
