No Decline in 2018 iPhone Orders Despite Rumors
After all the speculation on slow iPhone X sales proved to be fake, with Apple itself revealing strong results for the anniversary model, rumor now has it that the company is going for a more cautious approach for the 2018 device lineup and is reducing orders in anticipation of the September launch.
A report that made the rounds last week claimed that Apple reduced orders for the 2018 iPhone trio by as much as 20 percent, as the company allegedly expects shipments to progress slower than originally projected.
Sources said that iPhone orders were lowered from 100 million units in 2017 to 80 million units this year, despite that Apple would take the wraps off three models, two of which would be completely new.
