Apple Will Soon Make the iPhone Always-On Display Work Properly

Apple will soon make the iphone always on display work properlyiPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max both come with a feature users have been drooling over for many years: always-on display.

However, in typical Apple fashion, the feature comes to new-generation iPhones with more special capabilities, so users can also display the wallpaper in a dimmed-out state.

In many ways, such an Always-On Display feature doesn’t make much sense, especially because in total darkness, an iPhone 14 Pro feels just like the screen is turned on permanently.

Apple knows this very well, so the upcoming iOS 16.2 will resolve this. The company will provide users with options to disable the wallpaper and notifications, therefore making the Always-On Display feel just like an… Always-On Display.

Apple obviously praises the current implementation of AOD, explaining that the display operates at 1 Hz thanks to a new lower-power mode.
